What Is Up With The Lack Of Compassion For The Children Who Have Gotten Sick From Drinking Raw Milk?

Boy, there is so much hatred spewed at me over my concern of the safety of raw milk consumption. It’s as if people think they are speaking to the owner of a big agricultural company whose only motive is profit, and yet nothing could be farther from the truth. I’m just little ol’ me, whose read horror stories of children (and some adults) who’ve been severely poisoned by drinking raw milk.
I’ve been called biased, full of nonsense, a liar, or I’ve “bought into propaganda” and many other insults such as that I want to put small raw milk dairies out of business. Why such hatred?
I’m not on the side of Big Ag nor am I on the side of raw milk. So whose side am I really on?
I’m on the side of the children and families who’ve been devastated by an illness caused by the consumption of a raw milk product. I’m on the side of all these children who’ve suffered horribly scary hospitalizations, lifelong medical complications, and hundreds and thousands of medical bills.
Do you hate me as much now?
Don’t these cases warrant further discussion? Sure, these cases are rare, as David Gumpert so loves to point out. To him, these cases are just numbers, numbers that–to him–verify that the cases are extremely rare, and then sweeps the issue under the rug. But these cases aren’t just numbers to me. They are real life stories, ones that deserve attention and discussion. No child deserves this, and every parent loves their children and wants nothing but the best for them. So if that is true, let’s have real discussions about the risks. Let’s put aside the hateful comments and think about the people that are likely to be affected by this, such as the toddler Larry, as seen in the video below.

Several families offered to share their stories on video to help raise awareness about the potential risks and negative effects on health from drinking contaminated raw milk.
